October 4, 2017UPDATE: Last year we told you about the $100,000 grant from The DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation and CALIA by Carrie Underwood to the Checotah School District Girls Athletic Programs http://smarturl.it/yt4bxm. That donation was allocated across the girls’ softball, basketball, track and field, cheerleading, and golf programs.

Construction is underway for new Checotah splash pad
April 7, 2017Construction has begun for the new community splash pad being built at the Checotah Sports Complex. The ground breaking ceremony, held in February included Mayor Tarkington, Carole Underwood, and city supporters. With construction underway, the city hopes to have the splash pad completed by the Fourth of July.
